Under general supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health Services, the Behavioral Health Program Coordinator supports the delivery of behavioral health services offered at the health center. The Behavioral Health Program Coordinator works in collaboration with patients, care teams and other health center staff to appropriately support the behavioral health needs of patients. The Behavioral Health Program Coordinator effectively presents information and responds to questions from providers, hospitals, health center staff and patients and their families.

Works closely with the Revenue Cycle Manager to ensure the internal billing and all assigned functions are fully completed, in a timely and accurate manner. Processes financial assistance applications ensuring that patients’ data meets sliding fee schedule (SLS) guidelines and procedures.

Under general supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health & Integrated Care, the Community Health Worker- Behavioral Health (CHW-BH) works in collaboration with patients, care teams and other health center staff to appropriately support the complex needs of Blackstone Valley Community Health Care (BVCHC) patients. The CHW-BH effectively connects patients with complex needs with community resources to improve quality, enhance patient experience, and reduce unnecessary hospitalizations and emergency department (ED) visits.

Health Information Technicians maintain the integrity of all patient health information that is received from external/internal sources, respond to patient and facility requests for patient related information, and integrate received clinical information into the Electronic Health Record. Disclose health information in compliance with Rhode Island General Laws, Federal Public Health Laws and HIPAA Privacy Regulations. Assist the Manager and Director of Health Information in the various duties associated with Health Information. Monitors and ensures compliance, privacy, and information management aligns with overall organizational goals.

The Medical Secretary is the first point of contact for visitors/patients entering the clinic. It is the responsibility of the Medical Secretary to greet visitors/patients, and triage and assess the reasons a patient is at the clinic. This position will work independently or with the care team, when appropriate, to provide excellent customer service and meet the needs of the patient.
